CBS Sports liked Mizzou‘s blowout victory over Florida so much, it decided to double up the Tigers’ pleasure on the awards on Monday morning.

The Tigers blew out the Gators, 45-17, in Columbia on Saturday afternoon, handing Florida its first loss of the season while improving to 4-1 overall and avoiding a dreaded 0-2 start in the SEC. Mizzou did all of that with the help of its players, with head coach Eli Drinkwitz at the helm and, of course, with its 2 coordinators who led strong performances on both sides of the ball.

Speaking of that, CBS Sports spotlighted both of those coordinators on Monday by naming Mizzou offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey and Tigers defensive coordinator Corey Batoon its SEC Coordinators of the Week for Week 5 of the 2026 season.

Let’s start on offense, where Lindsey led a dominant attack in a huge spot during his first season as OC in Columbia. Mizzou rolled up 560 yards of total offense against the Gators, rushing for 220 yards while quarterback Austin Simmons threw for 340 yards.

The Tigers had 24 first downs, controlled the ball for 31 minutes, 40 seconds, and were dominant on third down, going 7 for 13 to stay on the field a lot and frustrate the Gators.

The Mizzou defense also frustrated Florida all day, shutting down a Gators attack that had looked so strong in September. But on the first Saturday of October, Batoon’s unit gave Florida virtually nothing, as the third-year Mizzou defensive coordinator proved that these Gators can be stopped after all.

Florida only had 325 yards of total offense, holding that vaunted Gators’ rushing attack to only 42 yards. UF star Jadan Baugh managed a measly 13 yards on 12 carries, and only a garbage time touchdown by Florida with 47 seconds left in the game prevented the Gators from being shut out in the second half.

Lindsey and Batoon were at the top of their games in Week 5, and here is the full CBS Sports rundown of its conference coordinators of the week:

While both Mizzou coordinators put on a show in Week 5, they will try to duplicate their performances in Week 6 as the Tigers stay home to face Texas A&M (noon ET, ABC). Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about Mizzou’s chances to prevail again in Columbia:
