CFB fans react to upcoming national title matchup between Michigan and Washington

The national championship game is set after some serious late-game dramatics. Michigan and Washington will battle for the national championship on January 8 from Houston, Texas.

Michigan took care of business against Alabama in the early window at the Rose Bowl before Washington and Michael Penix downed No. 3 Texas to assure a No. 1 vs No. 2 championship bout.

And we should be in for a good one, folks. Both the Wolverines and Huskies are now 14-0 on the season, both winners of their respective conference championships and feature the best offense (Washington) and best defense (Michigan) in the country. For what it’s worth, Michigan opened as a slight favorite over the Huskies Monday night.

College football fans are happy with this national championship matchup, too. Several fans from across the country took to social media to hype up the upcoming title bout. Some made picks, some lamented the fact that it won’t be played at the Rose Bowl and some were disappointed with the matchup.
