CFB recruit offers scathing assessment of Arkansas offense upon decommitment from Razorbacks

Things aren’t exactly going well for the Arkansas Razorbacks football program under first-year head coach Ryan Silverfield, with the Hogs sitting at 2-4 after suffering another brutal loss to the Tennessee Volunteers in Week 6.
This lack of production on the field is already starting to bleed over into Silverfield and his staff’s recruiting effort, and this reality was made abundantly clear on Tuesday when 3-star running back and longtime Arkansas commit Jeremiah Dent announced he was decommitting from the Hogs.
When On3’s Kyle Sutherland reached out to Dent in order to get some more clarity on his decision, the Arkansas native offered an absolutely brutal assessment of the Razorbacks’ offense.
“Iโve been diving into Arkansas games day by day and focusing on offensive line, physicality, and the offensive coordinator and play calling,” Dent said. “Really hard to extend my talent or allow someone to get hot when you have backs going in and out every three snaps.”
We don’t often see a high school recruit offer this kind of criticism toward a program they were committed to, but it’s hard to fault Dent for doing what he feels is in his best interest as a player.
If Silverfield and the Hogs can’t figure out how to work through their offensive woes, Dent likely won’t be the only high-profile recruit they end up missing out on in 2027 and beyond.
