Chase Daniel calls Kamario Taylor the most underrated QB in CFB

In many ways, the 2026 college football season can be viewed as the year of the quarterback, as programs around the country are trotting out a deeper crop of high-level gunslingers every week than most are used to seeing at the collegiate level.
The SEC in particular boasts some truly elite signal callers, but the best of all of them may be a sophomore by the name of Kamario Taylor, who has taken the reins of the Mississippi State Bulldogs‘ offense in just his second year on campus.
SEC Network analyst and former Mizzou quarterback Chase Daniel broke down Taylor’s immense talent on SEC Country, proclaiming him the most underrated quarterback in the nation.
“Kamario Taylor, in my opinion, is the most underrated quarterback in all of college football,” Daniel said. “The whole world is going to find out about him today… He just makes it look easy. I think that was the thing I saw most on tape, there’s no rush in his game.”
The Mississippi native saw some action last season, and head coach Jeff Lebby saw enough in that limited sample size to hand the keys over to the 19-year-old this season.
Taylor has all of the tools to become the next elite quarterback for the Bulldogs, and he’ll have the opportunity to show everybody in America what he’s made of against Minnesota on Saturday afternoon.
