Another Gus Malzahn signee gone? Former high school All-American enters transfer portal at Auburn
The transition to the Bryan Harsin era officially began this spring on The Plains but it appears we are still seeing a changing of the guard at Auburn as the football program has experienced a flurry of new additions to the transfer portal over the last week.
The activity began with defensive linemen Jaren Handy and Jay Hardy entering the portal and continued with quarterback Chayil Garnett doing the same on Monday.
Now defensive back Chris Thompson has made the same decision after just one season at Auburn. This news was first reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com.
Thompson appeared in six games for the Tigers last fall after appearing in the 2020 Under Armour All-America Game out of Duncanville High School in DeSoto, Texas.
