Cincinnati picked up a huge upset victory on Saturday, as the Bearcats knocked previously undefeated Texas Tech, 37-24. The Bearcats were able to race out to a big lead, and were in control throughout the entire game.
After the big win, the Bearcats took to social media to take a shot at the Red Raiders with a statistic that hadn’t been done since Brendan Sorsby did it against the Red Raiders.
Quarterback JC French IV threw four touchdown passes, with the last quarterback to achieve that being Sorsby when he was at Cincinnati in 2024.

Sorsby transferred to Texas Tech from Cincinnati this past off-season and was given a hefty payday from the Red Raiders. He was the most sought-after quarterback in the transfer portal, but was eventually suspended by the NCAA after an investigation found Sorsby had bet on college sports earlier in his career.
He had a terrific 2025 season for the Bearcats, finishing with 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions.
This was a statement victory for Cincinnati, as the Bearcats just dominated a very good Texas Tech defense. Running back Cole Tabb complemented the passing attack, rushing for 163 yards and one touchdown.
It was a great day if you are a Bearcats fan, and a reminder that anything can happen on a college football Saturday.
