Game 1 of the Lane Kiffin era in Baton Rouge was a resounding success as the LSU Tigers absolutely walloped the Clemson Tigers 51-10 under the lights in Death Valley.
The Bayou Bengals dominated their ACC counterparts in every facet of the game and left pretty much every Clemson player on the field looking silly on every play.
Clemson defenders in particular were having an extremely hard time getting LSU’s elite cast of playmakers to the ground, and those struggles were summed up perfectly in one of the most hilarious plays in recent memory.
LSU running back Dilin Jones took a handoff from quarterback Sam Leavitt and dusted Clemson linebacker Jeremiah Alexander around the corner. Alexander attempted to make a diving tackle as Jones ran past him, but only managed to grab the speedy tailback’s pants.
The force of Alexander falling to the ground actually pulled Jones’ pants down enough to expose his bare behind, leading to Jones running for a first down while also trying to pull his pants up at the same time.
Whatever temporary embarrassment Jones might have felt in the moment, though, it was nothing compared to what Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers had to endure throughout the course of this Week 1 beatdown.
