Daeโ€™Quan Wright is currently a member of the Cleveland Browns. He’s also a new entrant in the NCAA transfer portal.

Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of CBS Sports reported Wright’s entry into the transfer portal. The news comes after Wright was one of three former Ole Miss starters granted a temporary restraining order against the NCAA by a Louisiana court.

Wright began his college career at Virginia Tech. He transferred to Ole Miss ahead of the 2024 season. He went undrafted and was initially with the Philadelphia Eagles before signing with the Browns.

Last season, Wright was a 15-game starter at tight end for the Rebels. He was named All-SEC second team by the conference coaches. Wright logged 39 catches for 635 yards and 5 touchdowns.

As a junior, Wright played in 13 games for the Rebels. He made 6 starts in 2024 (4 at tight end, 2 at wide receiver). Wright had 27 catches for 394 yards and 4 TDs that season.

Recent rulings on the NCAA’s new 5-in-5 eligibility rule have numerous athletes seeking a 5th year for 2026-27 with the ability to enter the transfer portal.
