Once again, the SEC reigns supreme in the Week 6 USA Today Coaches Poll, released Sunday afternoon following a strong Week 5 slate. 10 total SEC teams cracked this week’s poll and 3 of the top 7 programs in the country hail from the Southeastern Conference.

As it was last week, Texas leads the way at No. 1, followed closely by Georgia at No. 2. The Longhorns were on bye this week as they get ready for next week’s rivalry showdown against Oklahoma in Dallas.

Alabama is next on the list among SEC teams, coming in at No. 7 following Saturday’s 56-23 blowout win of Mississippi State in Starkville. Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell has shown through 5 weeks that he is the real deal as a matchup against the No. 2 Bulldogs looms.

Other ranked SEC teams include the following: LSU (No. 10), Ole Miss (No. 11), Tennessee (No. 14), Florida (No. 15), Mizzou (No. 16), Mississippi State (No. 20) and Kentucky (No. 25). Additionally, Texas A&M received 1 vote.
