Cole Cubelic projects how Georgia’s resume will fare against Ohio State and Michigan
Cole Cubelic believed Georgia’s resume will get a huge boost to close out the year.
Georgia recently beat Missouri and has two more ranked teams on tap before ending the regular season with Georgia Tech.
Cubelic said that he would find it hard not to consider Georgia as the best team in the country if the Bulldogs can stay undefeated through this stretch on Tuesday’s edition of McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning.
“Georgia’s resume will have taken a massive leap in the last two weeks. I don’t know if you can make the argument if they win this week, that they’re not the No. 1 team in the nation,” said Cubelic. “What most people would have said would have been that resume, then you knock off a good Missouri team. You take on a really good Ole Miss team, and if they’ve knocked them off, I would find it almost impossible to look back and say ‘Yea, we’re not gonna go with that one.'”
Even if Michigan beats Ohio State or vice versa, Cubelic believed that it wouldn’t matter as Georgia’s resume would stand out from top to bottom.
“Maybe when you look back at this Georgia resume, if they get through Ole Miss and then face Tennessee, I don’t think you’re really gonna have anything to complain about,” said Cubelic. “You’re gonna have a lot of strength at the bottom of that resume that people didn’t think was gonna be there. Even with a Michigan win over Ohio State or vice versa, I still think Georgia would have the better resume top to bottom.”
Georgia faces Ole Miss in Athens at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
