Cole Cubelic shares takeaway for every SEC team after Week 5
The SEC always finds a way to deliver, doesn’t it?
We were blessed with some incredibly competitive matchups in Week 5. Most of them were low-scoring affairs; others (1 in particular) were high-scoring shootouts. And after a day of reflection, SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic has his thoughts on all that transpired.
As he does each week, Cubelic dove into the tape on Sunday and provided his thoughts on each SEC team’s performance on Monday morning. The conference had 13 teams in action, leaving no shortage of good or bad film for him to analyze.
Cubelic applauded Ole Miss for “winning the line of scrimmage” versus LSU, unsurprisingly labeled Arkansas‘ shellacking at the hands of Notre Dame an “ugly one,” and gave credit to Missouri and Vanderbilt for “handling their business.” He classified Georgia‘s loss to Alabama as “tough,” LSU‘s defeat to Ole Miss as “brutal” and Mississippi State letting one slip away versus Tennessee as “gut-wrenching.” Lastly, he lamented the offensive struggles of Auburn and Kentucky while cheering South Carolina‘s ability to make their game with the Wildcats “their style [of] fight.”
Here’s Cubelic’s full rundown on the baker’s dozen SEC teams who graced the gridiron in Week 5:
