Saturday was an emotional day at LSU, as Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (formerly Chris Jackson) had his jersey retired during a halftime ceremony.
A number of former Tigers were in attendance, as was former coach Dale Brown, all to celebrate the impact Abdul-Rauf had on LSU.
And, as you can see in the photo below, former NFL QB Colin Kaepernick was also in attendance, as he’s a close friend of Abdul-Rauf:

Kaepernick is a former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2016 season. He had workouts this offseason, but didn’t sign with a team.
Abdul-Rauf was a 2-time SEC Player of the Year (in 1989 and 1990). He averaged 30.2 points per game as a freshman and 27.8 points per game as a sophomore before heading to the NBA.
