A bizarre play at the end of a tight game between Houston and Cincinnati on Saturday may have led to the Cougars losing.
Why was it bizarre, you ask? Well, it’s not often in college basketball that you see a player ejected after referees determine he bit an opposing player.
As you can see below, this is the play where Houston’s DeJon Jarreau was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul and kicked out of the game after officials ruled he bit the leg of a Cincinnati player:

Houston went on to lose 64-62, falling to 7-2 in AAC play, tied with Cincinnati. Whether or not Jarreau gets suspended further for that play remains to be seen, but that was a bit bizarre.
It’s also hard to tell if he actually bit the Cincy player or not.
