The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the favorites to win the SEC East this year, but that doesn’t mean everyone is buying into the hype.
Count USA TODAY handicapper and sports analyst Danny Sheridan among those who haven’t hopped on Georgia’s bandwagon yet.
During his appearance on The Paul Finebaum Show on Tuesday, Sheridan said he thinks an 8-5 season or worse could be in the works for Kirby Smart’s squad:

"Not going to win 10 games I'll be surprised if they win 9"

The Bulldogs finished the 2016 season at 8-5, but expectations are much higher this fall.
After Smart brought in the nation’s No. 3 recruiting class (No. 2 in the SEC), Georgia needs to take a major step forward.
Georgia opens its 2017 campaign against Appalachian State on Saturday, Sept. 2. The game kicks off at 6:15 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on ESPN.
