College football rankings: SEC leads Super 16 with 5 teams after Week 8

Sunday is the day for rankings in the college football world. The Football Writers Association of America and the National Football Foundation revealed the latest Super 16 poll following Week 8’s results.
Georgia was off in Week 8, but no one was able to take the No. 1 ranking from the Bulldogs. The poll’s top 7 teams remained in the same spot, including Tennessee at No. 3 and Alabama at No. 6.
Ole Miss dropped from No. 8 to No. 14 after a blowout road loss to LSU. Speaking of LSU, the Tigers are No. 16 in the poll, giving the SEC a conference-leading 5 teams.
