ESPN’s uber-popular College GameDay pregame show will be set up in Ann Arbor on Saturday in advance of No. 1 Ohio State playing at No. 15 Michigan – and the show announced Friday who will be the guest picker.
Former Michigan All-American and Detroit Lions standout defensive end Aidan Hutchinson will be making game selections on College GameDay, returning to the site of a 4-year career that saw him record 81 solo tackles and 18.5 sacks from 2018-21.
Hutchinson was selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions with the No. 2 overall pick. Hutchinson earned Pro Bowl honors in his second season with the Lions in 2023, but sustained a severe leg injury in Week 6 of the 2024 season – fracturing both his tibia and fibula.
Hutchinson made a full recovery for 2025, and has 21 solo tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 8½ sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 2 pass deflections and a fumble recovery so far in 12 games for the 7-5 Lions.
Michigan and Ohio State have played “The Game” 120 times in history, with Michigan leading 62-51-6. The Wolverines also enjoy a 4-game winning streak over the Buckeyes, including a 13-10 upset win in Columbus last season. Michigan is 33-24 in the series at Michigan Stadium, with Ohio State’s last win on the road in the series coming in 2019.
Ohio State is a 9.5-point favorite, per BetMGM.
