College GameDay announces Tennessee basketball legend Candace Parker as celebrity guest picker

Candace Parker is coming back to Rocky Top to support her alma mater’s football team, and pick the biggest college football games of Week 3. College GameDay announced the Tennessee basketball great as Week 3’s celebrity guest picker on Thursday.
“What’s up, it’s your girl Candace Parker, proud alum of the University of Tennessee,” Parker said in a video message. “If you cut me, I bleed orange, and that’s why I’m so excited that College Game Day is coming to Knoxville as the University of Tennessee volunteers take on the Georgia…
Parker, a TV pro, had some fun struggling to say “Bulldogs,” eventually offering just “Dogs.”
“I’m so excited to let the world in on a little secret that 100,000 screaming fans in Neyland (Stadium) will know on Saturday that the Tennessee Volunteers are going to shock the world and end the 10-year drought,” Parker continued. “Joshua Dobbs, 2016, threw that Hail Mary, and there’s a new Josh that’s going to take down the Dogs, and that’s Coach Heupel. High-octane offense, solid defense, we’re ready, and I’m calling it right now.”
It was a given that Parker was picking her Vols in the highly anticipated top-15 showdown. We’ll find out Saturday who she picks in the other big games of Week 3.
