College GameDay was extra special on Saturday, as it was the legendary Lee Corso’s final show. He ends his decades-long career at the place where his famous headgear picks began so many years ago — Ohio State.
The Buckeyes, coming off a national championship last year, are the No. 3 team in the country and play host this afternoon to No. 1 Texas. It’s Arch Manning’s debut as the Longhorns’ full-time starter, while Julian Sayin makes his first start at QB for the Buckeyes.
Corso was joined by Rece Davis, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, Desmond Howard and Kirk Herbstreit on the GameDay desk for his final show. To keep the focus on Corso, there was no celebrity guest picker.
Corso picked Florida State to cover +14.5 as his super dog against Alabama. Herbstreit took Toledo to cover +10.5 at Kentucky has his super dog. Davis picked Southern Miss to cover the 13.5-point spread at home against Mississippi State. And finally, McAfee chose Syracuse +13.5 against Tennessee as his super dog.
