College GameDay is normally an outdoor festival of sorts, with the home fans at whatever place the popular Saturday morning pregame show is broadcasting from gathering behind the set and making as much noise as possible.

But this week isn’t a normal situation — far from it.

This week, as the show makes its way to Tuscaloosa in the leadup to the titanic showdown between No. 2 Georgia and No. 6 Alabama, there are extreme weather concerns to deal with and work around. There is Hurricane Isaias to deal with, as the game itself between the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide is threatened, with updates being provided for the safety of the players, coaches and fans.

But the safety factor extends well before the scheduled 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff (ABC), with College GameDay making the decision that should shock nobody. Instead of broadcasting outside like usual, the show will broadcast live from inside Coleman Coliseum, home to Alabama‘s basketball team.

The show was set to go live from the Alabama quad like usual when it comes to Tuscaloosa, but concerns over Hurricane Isaias have changed those plans in the name of safety for all those involved in making the show run smoothly and without danger. The announcement was made on Thursday afternoon, 2 days before the broadcast takes place on Saturday morning.

As far as the game itself, those safety updates for fans and everyone involved with the game will surely continue as the game moves closer.

But the decision has already been made for ESPN’s pregame show as to where it will broadcast from on Saturday morning:

While College GameDay will be moved indoors, the game itself between Georgia and Alabama will be nearby at Bryant-Denny Stadium, weather permitting of course. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about which team has the edge in the mega matchup in Tuscaloosa:
