Update: The Big Ten has confirmed it is moving to a conference-only schedule for the 2020 college football season.

Huge news out of the Big Ten as the Power 5 league is reportedly shifting to a conference-only schedule for the 2020 college football season.
Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic was the first to report the news, citing a source with “direct knowledge” of the situation.
It’s unclear how many games that the league plans to play for the coming season, although details will likely be released in the days to come.
No other league has publicly made the decision to go in a direction like this but the speculation is many leagues may shift to a conference-only schedule in the weeks to come.
If this is the move the Big Ten officially makes, several non-conference matchups that will be lost include: Ohio State at Oregon, Michigan at Washington, Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame (in Green Bay), Miami at Michigan State, Penn State at Virginia Tech and Iowa State at Iowa.
