Dabo Swinney pulled a 180 to stop and talk with No. 1 2023 recruit Arch Manning ahead of Clemson’s game with Florida State on Saturday.
Manning made the latest of his ongoing tour of schools around the South this week at Clemson. Manning has already visited Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas this fall. In what appeared to be Swinney on his way to the field from the locker room, the Clemson coach took a break from the pregame routine to meet with Manning.
Manning on Friday night, with coaches from Alabama and LSU reportedly in attendance for the game, threw 4 first-half touchdowns.
Clemson, of course, is known for having big-time quarterbacks, and the Tigers also have the nation’s top quarterback committed for the 2022 recruiting class with Texas signal-caller Cade Klubnik.
