Trevon Diggs started his career at Alabama as a wide receiver, but quickly made the switch to cornerback. After learning the position in 2017 and then battling an injury in 2018, Diggs had a huge 2019 season and rocketed up NFL Draft boards.

In the 2019 season, Diggs appeared in 12 games, recording 37 tackles, 3 interceptions (1 returned for a touchdown) and 8 pass breakups. He also recovered 2 fumbles, returning 1 for a score.

Now, he knows where he’ll be playing on Sundays, as the Dallas Cowboys selected him with the No. 19 overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft on Friday night.

Five Alabama players have already been selected in the draft. Several other Crimson Tide teammates should hear their names called in the later rounds of this weekend’s festivities. We’ll see how many are picked by the time the draft is over.

Diggs will join his brother, Stefon, as an NFL player. Stefon started his career with the Minnesota Vikings, but will be with the Buffalo Bills in 2020.

Will the Diggs brothers square off against one another during their careers? We’ll find out as both of their careers progress, but that would be a lot of fun to watch for the other members of the Diggs family.
