Ahead of a crucial matchup with LSU on Saturday night, Florida released its availability report, and a couple of notable names were listed.

Per CBS Sports’ Brandon Marcello’s report, the Gators will still be without the services of freshman phenom Dallas Wilson as the receiver continues to recover from a lower-leg injury suffer in training camp.

But in a stroke of good news for Billy Napier & Co., defensive tackle Caleb Banks will likely make his season-debut against LSU given he is not listed on the injury report. Banks also missed much of fall camp and the first two games of the season with a lower-leg injury and will provide a much-needed interior presence for the Gator defense.

A Tampa native, Wilson was a highly touted recruit coming out of Tampa Bay Tech High School and rated as a 4-star by 247 Sports’ composite. With his 6-foot-3 frame, Wilson is a rangy target that made headlines when he set a Florida spring game record with 10 catches and 2 touchdowns, and he tied the program mark for receiving yards with 195.

Conversely to Wilson, Banks is a veteran in Gainesville, having spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons with Napier after he transferred from Louisville. The Detroit product tallied 21 total tackles and made an impression with 4.5 sacks last season, and his 6-foot-6, 330 lb. frame will be welcomed against the Tigers.

Thus, following a weekend of heartbreak, Florida fans will at least be treated to one much-anticipated debut this Saturday. They’ll just have to wait a bit longer for the second one.
