Dan Enos is a big believer in KJ Jefferson in 2023 and beyond.

On Thursday, Enos met with reporters ahead of Arkansas’ 2023 season. Amongst the topics discussed: Jefferson’s ability and potential.

“What a really, really smart player,” Enos said. “He’s obviously talented as everybody in here knows. But I mean, he’s off the charts as far as the intellectual standpoint as far as understanding football. Every day I think he’s growing.

“I think he’s got a ceiling that I don’t think he’s even come close to reaching yet … so I’m very excited for him this year and then into the future.”

Here’s video of his comments:

Enos is in his first season as Arkansas’ offensive coordinator. However, he’s experienced play-caller and has served in this role for programs such as Maryland, Cincinnati, Miami and Alabama in recent years. He was also previously Arkansas’ OC from 2015-17.

This will be Jefferson’s 3rd season as Arkansas’ starting quarterback. The veteran signal caller has thrown for 5,804 yards and 48 touchdowns during his career with the Razorbacks.

Arkansas has also reached back-to-back bowl games with Jefferson under center. The Hogs have not made the postseason in 3 straight years since 2014-16.

Arkansas will open the 2023 season against Western Carolina on Sept. 3.
