Dan Mullen and the UNLV Rebels are off to an incredible start, as they moved to 6-0 on the season with a thrilling 51-48 victory against Air Force on Saturday. It is only year one for Mullen, but he has things rolling this season.

With that type of success, it wasn’t a shock to hear Mullen’s name in relation to potential candidates at Penn State earlier this week. He was asked about those rumors on Tuesday, and he told reporters he wasn’t going anywhere.

“I’m gonna be the head coach at UNLV next year. I’ll be here,” Mullen said. “I’m not going anywhere. You guys are stuck with me.”

UNLV is led by quarterback Anthony Coleandra, who has thrown for 1,403 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also added 323 yards and three more scores. UNLV has scored at least 30 points in every game this season.

The defense has also shown the ability to make big plays, as the Rebels are tied for sixth in the NCAA with 9 interceptions. Defensive back Aamaris Brown is tied for third with 4 interceptions, taking two of them back for touchdowns.

While the Rebels are off to a good start, the Week 8 road game at Boise State is going to be a great test to see where they are. The Rebels went 11-3 last season, and two of their losses were to the Broncos.

Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be on Fox Sports 1.
