When the 2020 NFL Draft begins in Las Vegas in April, it likely won’t take long for Alabama OL Jedrick Wills Jr. to hear his name called.

He’s a near-lock to be a Round 1 pick, and he could even be the first offensive lineman off the board if all goes well.

Per NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah, Mekhi Becton of Louisville is still atop his board, but he said Wills’ explosiveness is keeping him in the mix:

“Jedrick Wills, I believe, is the mix to be the first lineman off the board. I have Mekhi Becton, but he’s right behind him. He ran just over 5.0 in the 40. You see some of that explosiveness in the vertical that shows up when you watch him on tape.”

In Jeremiah’s first mock draft of the 2020 cycle, he has Wills going No. 6 overall to the Los Angeles Chargers (behind Becton at No. 4 to the New York Giants).

We’ll see if he can work his way into the top 5 of future mock drafts.
