Danny Kanell has never been shy about giving his opinion. Ahead of Week 11, the quarterback-turned-analyst fired off another hot take.

Kanell and the CBS Sports HQ crew were discussing whether Texas is overrated or underrated. The analyst thinks the Longhorns are overrated due to a lack of impressive wins to this point.

“Their best win is Oklahoma, an Oklahoma team that had benched their quarterback and had a guy making his 2nd start,” said Kanell. “They (Oklahoma) had 5 wide receivers out of the game. I am not impressed with that one.”

Kanell claimed that the Longhorns are getting a bump for being new to the SEC. However, the analyst pointed out that the Longhorns looked unimpressive against Georgia, and the team’s win over Michigan is no longer impressive. As a result, Kanell doesn’t even think the Longhorns are the best team in Texas.

“Let’s see what happens at Kyle Field on that last weekend of the season,” said Kanell. “I still think A&M is the better team in Texas.”

Entering Week 11, the Longhorns are 7-1 overall and 3-1 in SEC play. The Aggies, meanwhile, are 7-2 overall and 5-1 in SEC play. As Kanell mentioned, the Longhorns and Aggies will meet in the season finale in a game that could have serious College Football Playoff implications.

In Week 11, the Longhorns are taking on Florida while the Aggies have a bye week.
