Dashaun Jerkins, Vanderbilt DB, reportedly makes plans for 2022 season

Dashaun Jerkins has been one of the more experienced players on the Vanderbilt defense in recent years.

But Jerkins, who had 42 tackles and 3 interceptions this past season, is on the move, as Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reported that he will enter the transfer portal. Jerkins in his Vanderbilt career made 144 tackles, 3 interceptions and 7 pass breakups over his last 3 seasons with Vanderbilt.

Jerkins, who is listed at 6 foot and 200 pounds, is originally from Woodbridge, Virginia.

As a Junior (2020)
• Eight games played with six starts
• 45 tackles, two caused fumbles, one fumble recovery and three pass breakups
• Tied for the team lead with two caused fumbles and tied for fifth in the SEC in forced fumbles/game (0.25)
• Tied for the third on the team in total tackles
• Eight or more tackles in four games, including each of the first three contests
• First career forced fumble at No. 10/11 Texas A&M
