The Oklahoma Sooners‘ College Football Playoff lives are on the line this weekend when they battle the Alabama Crimson Tide. According to ESPN’s CFP Playoff Predictor, the Sooners will have just a 26% chance of making the CFP if they lose to the Crimson Tide (but beat Missouri and LSU). If Oklahoma defeats Alabama and runs the table, its CFP odds jump to 97%, per the predictor.

Alabama is currently a 6-point favorite over Oklahoma on DraftKings Sportsbook, and the Crimson Tide boast the longest active home winning streak in the country (17 straight wins). It’s not easy for any visitor to win in Tuscaloosa, but David Pollack believes the Sooners will get the job done.

“The reason I think ‘Boomer Sooner’ is going to win is because, they’ve got the pass rush,” Pollack said on his See Ball Get Ball podcast. “They’ve got the dudes up front… that can get to a 1-dimensional Alabama offense. Boomer Freaking Sooner, 24-20.”

Pollack believes John Mateer’s mobility will also cause major problems for Alabama’s defense. Last season, Jackson Arnold gashed the Crimson Tide for 131 rushing yards in Oklahoma’s dominant 24-3 win that effectively knocked Alabama out of the CFP. Kalen DeBoer and Co. have revenge on their mind for that loss, but if they can’t contain Mateer’s legs, they could fall once again. Kickoff between the Sooners and Crimson Tide is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday (ABC).
