The 2026 college football season hasn’t even started yet but it’s never too early to make predictions for the College Football Playoff. David Pollack did just that and shared his picks on social media.
Pollack has Oregon defeating Texas in the CFP National Championship. In the semifinals, Pollack has Texas defeating defending national champion Indiana and Oregon beating Notre Dame. In total, Pollack has five SEC teams in the CFP: Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, and Ole Miss. The other teams are Oregon, Miami, Texas Tech, Ohio State, Boise State, Indiana, and Notre Dame.

Oregon has never won a national championship. However, momentum is high as the Ducks are coming off a 13-2 season that ended in the CFP semifinal round.
Interestingly, Pollack has Lane Kiffin’s former team (Ole Miss) once again in the CFP while not having his current squad in it (LSU). Also, Pollack has neither of the opponents in last season’s CFP National Championship (Indiana, Miami) making it back to the final game.
It’ll be fun to follow along and see how accurate Pollack ends up being this season.
