Daymion Sanford and the Texas A&M Aggies remained undefeated on the season Saturday, as they took care of Missouri by a score of 38-17.
With the win, the Aggies move to 9-0 on the year. They were already No. 3 in the first rankings release for the College Football Playoff.
The Aggies were behind two B1G programs, as Indiana was No. 2 with defending national champion Ohio State at No. 1. After the rankings release, CFP selection committee chairman and current Baylor athletic Mack Rhoades said A&M’s defense was why those two teams were ranked ahead of Texas A&M.
Sanford and his teammates heard the comments, and they used them a motivation on Saturday.
“It motivated us a lot. Coming into the game we had a chip on our shoulder,” Sanford said after the game. “Why are they disrespecting us?”
Right now, all that Mike Elko and the Aggies need to be concerned about is getting wins. They are in complete control of making it to the SEC Championship Game, as well as making it to the CFP.
Texas A&M will host South Carolina in another SEC showdown next weekend.
