Deion Sanders is planning on having a committee approach to the secondary without Travis Hunter.

Hunter will be out for the next 3-4 weeks with a lacerated liver. Coach Prime said that Hunter is doing great and back to being the player Sanders knows at Tuesday’s presser.

โ€œTravis is doing great. Got out of the hospital yesterday. Heโ€™s at home doing his schoolwork, playing video games, being Travis,” said Sanders. “Wonderful man. He canโ€™t wait to get back to continue to do what heโ€™s capable of doing.โ€

Sanders is looking forward to seeing who steps up in the secondary on Saturday.

โ€œThe plan at corner is corner by committee,” said Sanders. “Thatโ€™s why we practice. Weโ€™re gonna see who steps up and takes over that role.โ€

Colorado’s Pac-12 opener won’t be an easy task. The Buffaloes face Oregon at Autzen Stadium on Saturday. The last time that Colorado beat Oregon was in 2016.

Last season’s matchup was one-sided in favor of Oregon. The Ducks dominated Colorado in Boulder 49-10.

Prime and his team will face their toughest test yet in one of the Pac-12’s better teams. Former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix won’t make it easy on them.

Kickoff for Week 4’s ranked matchup will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
