Deion Sanders to hold press conference alongside personal medical team
Colorado coach Deion Sanders will hold a press conference alongside his medical team on Monday.
The program announced that news this weekend. Sanders has reportedly been dealing with a health issue this offseason, but to this point, details have been private.
Sanders’ press conference will include his medical team along with representatives from CU Anschutz. The press conference is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. local time on Monday:
Reports of Sanders’ medical issues first surfaced earlier this summer when a USA Today story reported he was away from the team while dealing with an unspecified illness. Sanders then addressed those concerns on social media and said “everything is okay” but did not provide further details at that time.
Sanders was present at Big 12 Media Days but declined to give an update on his condition and got into a brief spat with a reporter who asked about his day-to-day routine when he was away from the team this summer.
“I’m not here to talk about my health, I’m here to talk about my team,” Sanders said.
“Average day, I’m living good. I’m living lovely. God has truly blessed me. Not a care in the world.”
Sanders’ press conference on Monday will also mark the start of fall camp for the Buffs. Colorado is set to open the 2025 season against Georgia Tech on Aug. 29.
