After it originally looked as if he wasn’t going to land a 3-year UDFA deal, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia has signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore originally invited Pavia to try out at minicamp this coming weekend, but they’ve instead made the decision to sign him in advance.
The Ravens certainly have a recognizable QB room with Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley, Joe Fagnano (UConn) — who just signed hours ago — and now Pavia.

Pavia is one of the best quarterbacks in Vanderbilt football history, known for leading the Commodores to a win over Alabama in 2024 and building off that momentum with a 10-win season in 2025, falling just shy of the College Football Playoff. At Vanderbilt, that’s a minor miracle.
And while Pavia doesn’t quite fit the archetype of an NFL quarterback, he’s tough as nails and very precise with the football. The former New Mexico State QB threw for 3,539 yards and 29 touchdowns while rushing for 862 yards and 10 touchdowns. There’s an argument to be made that Pavia was more crucial to his team’s success than any other player in college football last season.
He’s got a long road ahead of him if he wants to make a name for himself in the NFL, though. First order of business; let’s see if Pavia can make the Ravens’ roster.
