Dillon Johnson announced Tuesday afternoon that he would officially be transferring from Mississippi State to Washington.
Johnson played 3 seasons at Mississippi State in the Bulldogs’ air raid offense, one that, as the name suggests, is primarily passing based. Johnson is likely to get strong playing time with the Huskies next season.

Johnson totaled 1,198 yards and 11 touchdowns across his 3 seasons in Starkville. He was the 2nd leading rusher for the Bulldogs in 2022, totaling 448 rushing yards with 3 touchdowns.
Johnson will battle for reps with a fellow transfer from Arizona State, Daniyel Ngata. Wayne Taulapapa, Washington’s star RB from this season, is out of eligibility, leaving the door open for Johnson and his versatility to leave an immediate impact.
