D.J. Wagner was “good” but “a little sore” after the Miami game, according to a report from basketball insider Adam Zagoria.

Wagner left the game with an ankle injury after starting at point guard. He accounted for 5 points and made 3-of-4 free throws before exiting.

The Wildcats were still able to get it done on the court, regardless of Wagner’s injury. Kentucky won 95-73 in Lexington as a part of the ACC/SEC Challenge on Wednesday.

Wagner is 4th on the team in scoring and will be missed on the floor if he’s out for an extended period of time. He has averaged 13.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game so far.

Wagner was a former 5-star combo guard out of Camden (N.J.) High in the 2023 class. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 1 player at the position for the class.

Kentucky remains at home for its next game with UNC Wilmington. Tipoff will be Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
