Dylan Disu announced Sunday that he will be returning to Texas for one last season in college basketball.
The current Longhorn and former Vanderbilt center had an incredible postseason, aiding in Texas’ run to the Sweet 16 before suffering an injury that would end his 2022/23 season. Of course, the Longhorns went on to beat the Musketeers and advance to the Elite 8 for the first time since 2008.
But as said, the Longhorns don’t advance that far without Disu, who dropped 17 and 10 in Texas’ first-round game against Colgate and 28 and 10 in their second-round win over Penn State. He finished the season averaging 8.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Disu, thanks to the Covid-19 waiver rule, will have 1 season remaining in college basketball.

Texas needed that, to put it lightly.
The Longhorns are losing a lot next season, including Marcus Carr, Christian Bishop and Timmy Allen. Disu could very well be Texas’ top returning player next season, barring a huge transfer portal addition.
