Beau Pribula transferred from Penn State to Mizzou for an opportunity to be the starting quarterback. Sam Horn is still a member of the Mizzou football team after being selected in the MLB Draft. Eli Drinkwitz, meanwhile, says isn’t ruling out a 3rd option at quarterback.
Drinkwitz met with the media on Sunday for the opening of fall camp. The head coach said true freshman Matt Zollers has a chance to win the starting job.

It would be somewhat of a surprise to see Zollers push Pribula and Horn in the QB competition. Pribula played in 24 games over the past 2 seasons at Penn State, scoring 19 touchdowns (10 rushing, 9 passing). Horn is in his fourth season at Mizzou. But Drinkwitz made it a point to mention Zollers.
Drinkwitz says Sam Horn and Beau Pribula separated in the spring, but just now adds:

"I don't think Matt (Zollers) is out of it just yet. He's going to have to really come on in fall, but that's not unheard of." https://t.co/NeZ7Ae8B7g
Out of Royesford (Pennsylvania) Spring-Ford High School, Zollers was rated 4-stars, the No. 2 player in the state, No. 9 quarterback and No. 93 prospect overall on the 247Sports Composite.
It will be interesting to see what the next development is in the Mizzou QB competition.
