The most highly anticipated matchup of the college football weekend will take place in Oxford when Ole Miss hosts LSU. It’s a top-10 showdown that also stands as Lane Kiffin‘s return.
Needless to say, this one has a ton of juice. So it only makes sense that Ole Miss enlisted Eli Manning to narrate its hype video. The former Rebels star quarterback and 2-time Super Bowl champion perfectly encapsulated the significance of this SEC rivalry.
“This game needs no introduction,” Manning said. “Generations of bad blood tell the story. It flowed through the river for over a century, fueled with passion, and guaranteed to give you goosebumps. This moment is what we prepare for on Saturday night; the center of the college football world is in Oxford, Mississippi. It’s Ole Miss versus LSU.”
Manning certainly doesn’t need any introduction either because his college credentials are undeniable. He produced 10,119 passing yards and 81 touchdown passes for Ole Miss en route to capturing the Maxwell Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
LSU leads the all-time series 64-43-4. However, Ole Miss claimed last season’s contest with a 24-19 victory. LSU at Ole Miss is slated for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff and will be televised on ABC.
