Elite Tennessee commit David Gabriel Georges signs with Adidas
Elite Tennessee 2027 commit David Gabriel Georges announced on Monday via Instagram that he is signing with Adidas.
The 5-star running back, who committed to Tennessee on July 22, is now in lock step with the company that the program itself has a long-term partnership with. Tennessee began its 10-year deal with Adidas in July, ironically right around when Georges committed to the Volunteers.
Georges made his own big Adidas announcement during a video that was posted on Instagram. Offball did a “yes or no” Q&A session with Georges following a recent game, ending the video by asking Georges if he was indeed signing with Adidas. Georges confirmed that he was signing, and he posted that confirmation on Monday morning.
Now, not only is Georges tied to the Tennessee program, but now the in-state backfield prize from Chattanooga is also tied to the apparel company that the Volunteers have a longstanding relationship with. The program’s ties to Adidas started in July, and Georges is set to start play in Knoxville next year after Tennessee beat out SEC rival Ole Miss as well as Big Ten powerhouse Ohio State for Georges’ services.
The 6-foot, 210-pounder who currently stars at the Baylor School in Chattanooga is one of the top overall prospects in the Class of 2027, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the No. 9 overall prospect in the class, as well as being the top-ranked player from the state of Tennessee and the second-ranked running back in the entire class.
While Tennessee prepares to add Georges in 2027, it is trying to win as many games as possible in 2026. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about the Volunteers’ potential win total for this season:
