ESPN analyst makes case for Trinidad Chambliss as No. 1 pick in 2027 NFL Draft
ESPN’s Jordan Rodgers believes Ole Miss star Trinidad Chambliss should be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Rodgers made the case during an appearance on ‘Get Up’ earlier this week.
“Trinidad Chambliss, hands down, is the best quarterback in college football and he should hands down be the No. 1 pick next year,” Rodgers told Mike Greenberg. “He makes throws that guys aren’t making in college. Nobody else is making the kind of translatable, anticipation, velocity, accuracy type throws that Trinidad can make.”
Rodgers also brought up his mobility โ Chambliss has over 600 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in 19 games โ but said that isn’t the driving
“The athleticism is a luxury. I’m not drafting him because of that athleticism. I’m drafting him because he’s a better thrower of the football than anyone else in college football … to me, it’s a no-brainer.”
While Chambliss widely regarded as an elite college quarterback, his size could prove to be an issue for NFL front offices. How he measures at the NFL Scouting Combine could go a long way toward determining his ultimate draft position.
Here’s the current market to be the No. 1 pick on Kalshi:
