ESPN Analytics updates every team’s chance to win the SEC entering Week 4

ESPN Analytics had some good news and some bad news for a few SEC teams as the college football season enters Week 4. While it still early in the college football season, ESPN has it coming down as really a team race between Texas and Georgia.
Texas currently has the best chance to win the SEC with a 33 percent chance, with Georgia right behind the Longhorns at 32 percent.
The Longhorns have a tough game on Saturday, as they travel to Knoxville to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. Last year, Texas really struggled on the road in SEC play. In four games, they were 2-2 in the SEC, with losses to Florida and Georgia. Even in the wins against Kentucky and Mississippi State, they struggled for much of the game before coming back. There are very few places that are tougher to win than Neyland Stadium, and this will be a great test to see if the Longhorns are any different.
The Bulldogs aren’t getting a ton of talk early in the year, but Kirby Smart once again has a team that looks like a true contender. They host an Oklahoma team that is looking to get things back on track, especially on offense. In games against Michigan and New Mexico, the Sooners have scored only 24 points. In the game against the Lobos, they rushed the ball 32 times for 61 yards.
Alabama is No. 3 on the list, and hosts the South Carolina Gamecocks in Week 4. The Crimson Tide started off slow against Florida State last week, but the offense was able to get things rolling.
Maybe the most surprising team on this list is Ole Miss at No. 4. The Rebels had the biggest win last week at home against LSU, but a huge road test against Florida is looming in Week 4.
The SEC schedule is always tough, but Week 4 is when there will start to be some separation among the contenders in the league.
