ESPN’s College GameDay has finalized its location for Week 3 of the upcoming season.

The flagship pregame show will be in Oxford for LSU vs. Ole Miss on Sept. 19. The game will serve as Lane Kiffin‘s dramatic return to Ole Miss after he departed for Baton Rouge before last year’s College Football Playoff.

With Kiffin’s return as the backdrop, LSU vs. Ole Miss is one of the most highly-anticipated games of the entire season, so it’s no surprise GameDay will be on location that week:

ESPN previously announced its destinations for Week 1 and Week 2 of the upcoming season. In Week 1, GameDay will be in Baton Rouge for Clemson’s trip to LSU. In Week 2, they’ll showcase the University of Texas as the Longhorns take on Ohio State in a top-5 matchup.

This will be GameDay’s 3rd-ever trip to Oxford. The show was last there in 2021 for Ole Miss’s 29-19 win over Texas A&M in a top-25 matchup. Their only other trip was in 2014 when Ole Miss battled No. 3 Alabama. The Rebels won that game, too.

In addition to the emotions surrounding Kiffin’s return, this game will carry significant SEC Championship and CFP implications. Both the Rebels and Tigers hope to make deep postseason runs this fall.

LSU is 64-43-4 all-time against Ole Miss.
