ESPN was the center of the college football world, as the 12-team College Football Playoff field was announced on Sunday afternoon. Later in the day, ESPN has announced its commentary team on Sunday for the College Football Playoff clash between Tulane and Ole Miss game that will take place on Dec. 20 in Oxford.
The play-by-play man will be Joe Tessitore with Jesse Palmer being the analyst. Katie George and Quint Kessenich will be working the sidelines, per ESPN’s announcement.
The first-round showdown between the No. 6 seed Rebels and No. 11 Green Wave will kick off at 3:30 ET and be broadcast on TNT, Tru Tv and HBO Max. It figures to be an electric atmosphere, as it is the first game for the Rebels since Lane Kiffin announced he was leaving for LSU.
Both Tulane and Ole Miss are familiar with each other, as the two teams faced off earlier in the season. The Rebels won that game 45-10 In that game, Trinidad Chambliss threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for another 112.
The Green Wave extended the Jon Sumrall era at Tulane as they knocked off North Texas to clinch the CFP spot. Sumrall has been announced as the new coach at Florida, but the Gators are allowing him to finish the season.
