ESPN continues layoffs, will reportedly let go of insider Tom Pelissero

ESPN’s company-wide layoffs aren’t finished quite yet. According to a report from The Athletics’ Andrew Marchand, ESPN is expected to lay off NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero after just under a decade with NFL Network.
It’s worth noting that Pelissero had a year remaining on his deal with NFL Network, which was recently acquired by ESPN, according to ProFootballTalk.
Pelissero joined NFL Network in 2017 after years covering the Vikings and Packers. He’s best known for breaking news related to the NFL on X and other social media sites alongside fellow insider Ian Rapoport.
Of course, Pelissero is far from the only major name laid off this weekend from ESPN. Ryan Clark was reportedly laid off on Monday during an airing of NFL Live, meaning he started but did not finish his final show with the program. In addition, College World Series and college basketball announcer Karl Ravech saw his time at ESPN come to a close after over 3 decades with the company.
Back to Pelissero, there will certainly be a lot of options for his next landing spot, including The Athletic and CBS, which both need to fill insider roles.
