Tennessee coach Rick Barnes has emerged as a potential candidate to take the UCLA basketball job, even as the Vols make an effort to get him to stay.

Barnes faces an interesting decision, and there are a number of factors he must consider when deciding if he wants to head to the legendary job at UCLA or stick with the program he’s rebuilt at Tennessee.

However, on Monday’s episode of “The Paul Finebaum Show,” ESPN expert Chris Low said he feels Barnes may be swayed to head to Los Angeles because UCLA is a basketball school:

There’s no mistaking it — even during hard times, Tennessee and Texas (Barnes’s job before Knoxville) are football fanatics through and through.

Would that be enough to get him to leave? That and the reported $5 million contract offer make it a legitimate debate, at this point.
