ESPN experts update College Football Playoff picks after Week 7

The second football Saturday of October is in the books, and the postseason picture is starting to take shape. As we look ahead to Week 8, ESPN’s experts predicted their College Football Playoff fields following Saturday’s action.
Georgia has been a unanimous Playoff pick throughout the 2023 season. The Bulldogs maintain that status by improving to 7-0 with a 37-20 win over Vanderbilt. UGA once again made all 15 ESPN experts’ ballots.
A new pack of dogs has joined the unanimous club. The Washington Huskies made all 15 ballots after Week 7.
In a showdown of AP top-10 teams, Washington defeated Oregon. The Huskies are now on top in the Pac-12, which has been seen as college football’s top conference this season, though it had a bit of a rough Week 7.
Michigan remains a popular pick to make the Playoff. The Wolverines made 13-of-15 ballots after improving to 7-0 with a blowout win of Indiana. U-M rival Ohio State, meanwhile, was picked to make the CFP by just 1 ESPN expert, Ryan McGee.
Undefeated Florida State, with notable wins over LSU and Clemson, rounds out the double-digit club. The Seminoles made 11-of-15 ballots after defeating Syracuse in Week 7.
Oklahoma is undefeated with a big win over Texas, but isn’t getting the same love as the rest of its Power 5 peers. The Sooners are on just 5-of-15 ballots heading into Week 8.
