ESPN finally bringing ‘The Ocho’ to life for one-day ESPNU takeover

If you are a fan of the movie “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story,” then you are going to love this news.

ESPN just announced that ESPNU would become the popular sports channel from the 2004 hit movie for one day in early August. On Tuesday, Aug. 8th, ESPN8: “The Ocho” will make its debut appearance, and it will feature a series of unusual sporting events.

Some of these events include the following:

  • 2016 American Disc Golf Championship
  • 2016 WFTDA Roller Derby Championships
  • 2016 Sky Zone Ultimate Trampoline Dodgeball
  • 2016 Kabaddi World Cup Final
  • 2017 Championship of Bags
  • Moxie Games
  • U.S. Open Ultimate Championship

However, if you’re expecting an appearance from Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman or Rip Torn (Patches O’Houlihan), you are going to be severely disappointed.
