Week 5 of the college football regular season has officially come and gone, and that means that the College Football Playoff picture is starting to take shape as the contenders begin to separate themselves from the pretenders.

The SEC, in particular, has proven once again to be one of the deepest in the country, with several teams emerging as legitimate contenders to land a bid to the big dance come December.

There is obviously still a long way to go before anything is set in stone regarding any potential playoff berths, but ESPN analyst Heather Dinich just released her picks for who would be in the CFP if it started tomorrow, and she included 5 SEC squads.

As of right now, Dinich has Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Texas A&M all making it into the playoff, with the Aggies receiving an automatic bye as the No. 4 seed as the SEC Champions.

After that, Dinich has Oklahoma at No. 5 facing off against No. 12 Memphis, and Ole Miss at No. 6 taking on No. 11 Texas Tech, respectively.

She also has the Tide and the Dawgs facing off in a first-round playoff rematch in Tuscaloosa as the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds, a game that would certainly draw in some big-time ratings.

Dinich does have some very intriguing matchups in her prediction for this week, but with the way things are going, there’s no question that all of this is likely to look very different come season’s end.
