Kentucky is for “preparing for (the) very real possibility it loses Liam Coen,” according to ESPN NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler.
Fowler adds that Coen has already turned down other college and professional offensive coordinator positions to stay at Kentucky. A return to the Los Angeles Rams, however, would be difficult for Coen to turn down. Coen arrived at UK ahead of the 2021 season after 3 seasons on Sean McVay’s Rams staff. Coen was assistant wide receivers coach for the 2018 and ’19 seasons. In 2020, he was the team’s assistant quarterbacks coach.
Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio chimed in that he heard Coen turned down the New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator position.
ESPN reporter says Coen already turned down a pro OC job so far this year. I have heard it was the Saints https://t.co/05U4FN6tQn

The Wednesday evening report from Fowler follows an earlier report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that the Rams are considering Coen and Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson for the team’s OC position.
